Napoli chief Cristiano Giuntoli is insisting on signing Arsenal target Sander Berge.
What’s the story?
According to Calciomercato, the Serie A outfit are proposing a loan move with the option to buy the Norwegian. The Blades are asking for a permanent sale of the midfielder, who has a £35m release clause in his contract.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the ace during this transfer window.
According to the most recent reports, Edu is currently in talks with the Championship outfit over a double deal for Berge and his teammate, Aaron Ramsdale.
However, with the 23-year-olds demanding fees in excess of £30m, a move to north London seems far away.

Arsenal don’t need to challenge Napoli for Berge as Xhaka stays
In recent years, the two clubs have been doing battle in the transfer market.
First, the Gunners beat Napoli to the signing of Lucas Torreira, who joined for £26 in 2018. Then, the outfit overcame the Italians, and Manchester United, in the race for Gabriel Magalhaes.
However, Berge is one player the club don’t have to challenge Napoli after the recent news about Granit Xhaka.
After looking likely to move to AS Roma, it seems Xhaka is set to stay in N5 and sign a new contract. It means the side don’t need a central midfielder this summer.
