Report: Napoli and Galatasary eye Fulham player Seri

Napoli are reportedly keeping an eye on Fulham central midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

What’s the story?

According to Foot Mercato, the Italian outfit are looking at the Ivory Coast international due to the long absence of Diego Demme.

It was confirmed last month that the midfielder would be out for a while after suffering a high-grade sprain to the medial collateral ligament.

As a result, they need reinforcements and could turn to the 30-year-old. However, they are allegedly joined in the race by Galatasaray, who are also keen.

With less than a year left on his contract, Fulham could be set to lose the player on the cheap.

Seri has been a disappointment

At the time of signing for the Cottagers, there was a massive buzz around the African.

He was being chased by some fairly big clubs. But the west Londoners managed to fend off Chelsea and Arsenal to complete an £18m transfer.

It is safe to say the move hasn’t worked out how Fulham will have wanted it to.

36 appearances in over three years at Craven Cottage tells you how his time has gone.

And with such little time left on his current deal, it would make sense to move him on this summer.

Interest from Napoli is most welcome as Fulham look to sell Seri, one of their worst signings ever.

Meanwhile, two Premier League clubs are chasing a Fulham youngster.
