La Nuova Sardegna have previously reported that Leeds could sign Nandez in two separate instalments.

The 25-year-old midfielder could join the Yorkshire side on loan next season before making the move permanent in 2022.

As well as Nandez, Leeds are also close to signing FC Barcelona left-back Junior Firpo.

According to Sport, Bielsa has convinced the former Spain U-21 defender to swap the Camp Nou for Elland Road, with the 24-year-old looking set to join the Premier League side in the coming weeks.

The Yorkshire side were a spectacular watch last season in their comeback year in the English top-flight.

Leeds finished 10th in the standings, with the likes of Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips and Jack Harrison starring for the club.

Indeed, the club’s ambition since the arrival of Bielsa has steadily increased with each passing year. And this summer seems to be no different.

Leeds are keen to add to their squad and build upon their impressive finish last season.

And the likes of Nandez and Firpo, two very experienced players at the top of European and international football, only show how much the Yorkshire side want to make another statement next campaign.
