Arsenal are open to signing a backup goalkeeper and a centre-back during the January transfer window, as well as a creative midfielder, according to a report from Football London.
Two wins have taken some of the pressure off of Mikel Arteta heading into next month. The Gunners have distanced themselves from the periphery of a potential relegation scrap.

Arsenal are now closer to the European places than the bottom three in the Premier League. So it will be interesting to see how they approach the transfer market.
According to a report from Football London, there are three positions which they could be looking at adding to.

The reports suggests that they may want a new backup goalkeeper, a centre-back and a creative midfielder.
TBR View: Arsenal should be prepared to abandon January plans and focus on youngsters
Admittedly, Arsenal should obviously not shut the door on any marquee names who become available next month. And it is difficult to argue with their plan to look at a new backup goalkeeper.
But the Gunners arguably have little reason to make the kind of signings who are only likely to make a brief impact.
If that means that they sign no-one in January, so be it. Arteta has so many exciting young players. And it does appear that the fans would be more willing to give him breathing space when it comes to results if the likes of Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli are given prominent roles.
Of course, Arsenal do not want to write off the season. But their indifferent campaign up until this point inadvertently presents the perfect opportunity to introduce the likes of William Saliba and Miguel Azeez.
These are players who have the potential to enjoy incredible careers at Arsenal.
They may not yet be ready for first-team football at the Emirates. But Arteta may well be better off putting faith in them rather than signing the players who could be available in January.
