Tottenham Hotspur’s coaches and players have been very impressed by Gareth Bale’s efforts in training this week, Football London has reported.

The 31-year-old rejoined Spurs on a season-long loan deal in mid-September, a move which saw the media spotlight shine brightly on the white half of North London.

Bale is currently working his way back up to fitness after picking up a knee injury on Wales duty prior to his switch to Spurs, and has been training with the club’s group of non-internationals.

According to Football London, Bale’s coaches and new teammates have been “blown away” by his “quality and drive” on the training pitch this week.

Tottenham, who are reported to have an option to extend Bale’s loan deal by another year, are expecting to have the Welshman back to match fitness after the current international break.

Tottenham have had a very good window, strengthening their ranks all across the board, from Joe Hart in goal to Carlos Vinicius up front.

As far as marquee signings go, however, Bale to Spurs is right up there – the one-time most expensive player in the world and serial winner with one of the planet’s most famous teams, returning to club where he became a star.

And best of all, Tottenham have been in fine goalscoring form these last few weeks, so the prospect of adding Bale to a line-up featuring Harry Kane and Son heung-min is exciting to say the least.
