Tottenham Hotspur would be willing to stump up £25 million plus add-ons in order to sign Ryan Sessegnon this summer (The Daily Express).
The English teenager has been heavily linked with a move to the north Londoners in recent months, and the speculation has only intensified since Fulham’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed.
The full-back has been stalling over an offer of a new deal at Craven Cottage, and he’ll be able to leave for free next summer as things currently stand.
Fulham would like £45 million for their prized asset, but may be forced to accept less given his contractual situation.
According to The Express, Spurs are in pole position to land the England U21 international.
If Spurs are able to snap up Sessegnon for £25 million, it would represent great business.
The starlet’s potential is sky high, and his development under Mauricio Pochettino could be massively exciting.
His maiden campaign in the Premier League was not so impressive, but in a better team and under a better coach, Sessegnon would better be able to showcase his talents.
Spurs appear set on selling popular star Danny Rose this summer.
For many fans that would sting, but securing Sessegnon as his replacement would definitely soften the blow.
