Report names Leeds teammate Luke Ayling lost his cool with

Luke Ayling lost his cool with Rodrigo Moreno during the latter stages of the first-half between Leeds United and Brighton on Saturday, according to a report from Leeds Live.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were beaten 1-0 at Elland Road. It was arguably one of the most frustrating afternoons of Bielsa’s tenure.

Leeds struggled for fluidity and rarely looked like finding an equaliser after conceding the winning goal. And there were times when the Whites seemed to lack energy.

One of those moments apparently came with four minutes to go before the break. According to Leeds Live, Ayling spent around 10 seconds making his frustrations clear to Rodrigo after the forward had let his man go as Brighton pressed forward.

In fairness to Rodrigo, he was not the only player to struggle. Ayling himself completely lost Neal Maupay for the visitors’ goal earlier in the half.

And Leeds losing runners seemed to be a fairly common theme – particularly during the first-half. The incident involving Rodrigo may have simply been the final straw for his teammate.

It was not Rodrigo’s finest day since his arrival. He was the first player taken off by Bielsa. And Tyler Roberts seemed to be a lot more influential after replacing the summer signing.

But Rodrigo has shown that he is capable of making a devastating impact. And he may have actually had few complaints with the criticism coming his way after the reported error.

One thing that is for sure is that the squad will almost certainly be back on the same page as they look to put an end to their current run as soon as possible.
