Palace contracts for Eagles veterans?
Winger Townsend, a £14m signing from Newcastle in 2016, has made 185 appearances in red and blue.
Centre-back Cahill, a free signing from Chelsea two years ago, has made 47 appearances for Palace.
And right-back Ward, at Palace since 2012, has clocked up a staggering 283 appearances for the Eagles.
Palace will then embark on a recruitment drive to overhaul the group ahead of the new campaign.
They will now be able to target players best suited to Favre’s favoured style of play, added The Athletic.
Palace striker Christian Benteke has already re-signed, penning a two-year extension at Selhurst Park.
