Newcastle target, Moussa Dembele, has admitted that he would find it hard to turn down a move to Manchester United if the Red Devils came knocking this summer.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Dembele has conceded that he would find a move to Old Trafford hard to ignore.

Dembele, who has also been mentioned as a potential Newcastle United signing, has scored 16 times for Lyon this season.

The 23-year-old has been on the radar of Man United for some time now. After showing his class during his time with Celtic, Dembele opted for a move to Ligue 1 rather than the Premier League.

However, the Frenchman could opt to move back to England with French football now cancelled for the season.

With the financial situation in world football looking bleak for the time being, Lyon themselves could well be tempted to cash in on their striking star.

Dembele’s last spell in England came with Fulham. As a teenager, he scored 15 times for Fulham in the Championship before sealing a move to Celtic Park.

The time has come for Dembele now to make his move back to England and show everyone how good he can be.

Fans in England have always known about Dembele’s talent but were left disappointed when he moved to Celtic after being so impressive for Fulham.

Newcastle would be a good move for Dembele. They need new players and it’s set to be exciting times for the club.

But Manchester United are still a massive lure. Dembele’s admission here seems to indicate how he sees the Red Devils.

For all Newcastle’s new riches, sometimes a player can value history and past success over money.
