Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Tanguy Ndombele from Tottenham as he looks to bolster Roma’s midfield options, according to a report from Calciomercato.
What’s the story?
Calciomercato reports that Mourinho wants to add more athleticism to his ranks in the middle of the park.

The Giallorossi got off to a flying start this season, winning their first three Serie A games. However, they have now lost two of their last three, including against Lazio at the weekend.
And it now appears that Mourinho is already looking at how to strengthen his side.

The report claims that one name on his radar is Ndombele.
Surely, there is no chance Ndombele swaps Tottenham for Roma
Ndombele’s future remains a talking point at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Of course, it was claimed over the summer that he wanted to leave the club.
The Frenchman has never quite realised his full potential in North London. He has certainly shown glimpses of his quality. But he has struggled throughout his spell.
Ndombele may perhaps still leave in a future window. But of all the clubs he will head for, surely there is absolutely no chance that he will sign for a team managed by Mourinho.
The pair appeared to have a difficult relationship while the Portuguese was in charge of Tottenham.
So it would surely be a huge surprise if Ndombele now decided that he wanted to join him in the Italian capital.
If you were to list all of the Spurs players in order of how much they would like to be reunited with Mourinho, Ndombele may well be somewhere near the bottom.
For that reason, it is hard to see these reports coming to anything.
