Aston Villa fans may be interested in Kicker’s latest report concerning Milot Rashica, with the German outlet claiming that the 24-year-old could be on the move in the next few days.
Rashica is a player Villa have been linked with for some time. According to the Express and Star, the Villans held talks over a possible £18 million move in September.
Of course, no deal would take place. But Deich Stube reported in late November that Dean Smith’s men could make another attempt in January.
However, Rashica suffered an injury shortly after that cast doubt over the likelihood of him being able to secure a January move away from Werder Bremen.
But Kicker is now claiming that he could be on the move in the coming days. It must be noted that the new report makes no mention of where he may head or who even is interested.
They do suggest however, that previous admirers Bayer Leverkusen are not looking at Rashica in this window.
Rashica came off the bench for Bremen at the weekend. So that may have perhaps encouraged those looking at signing the attacking midfielder in this window.
TBR View: Villa should bolster squad with great opportunity ahead
It remains to be seen if Villa do indeed have any interest. But it would surely be no surprise if Smith was keen for further signings to arrive.
The Villans have been outstanding this season. And there looks to be a real opportunity to achieve something incredibly special.
The Kosovo international scored 17 Bundesliga goals across the last two full seasons. He also provided 10 assists in that time.
Admittedly, he is yet to rediscover that form in this campaign. But he would still be an incredibly exciting signing wherever he goes. And based on previous reports, perhaps Villa may be amongst those putting themselves in the running.
