The Daily Mail have claimed that Arsenal are ready to offload midfielder Matteo Guendouzi with Mikel Arteta losing his patience with the young Frenchman for a number of incidents that has seen his attitude come into question.
The Gunners have agreed to keep David Luiz, Cedric Soares, Dani Ceballos and Pablo Mari until the end of the season – while reports claim Luiz has been offered another year. Cedric and Mari have agreed four-year deals.
But there could be a player on the way out. Guendouzi, 21, has not impressed Arteta, showing poor attitude in this year’s Dubai training camp – and ‘messing about’ when going over footage, and Arteta had his back turned.
His throttling of Brighton’s Neal Maupay and taunting the Seagulls players over wages is just another example of poor attitude for Guendouzi, then. Now, Arteta is ready to offload the midfielder – with his performances poor, too.

TBR’s view – Guendouzi not worth the off-field antics
The young midfielder would be forgiven if he was starring on the pitch. Arteta could put up with his childish antics – which is said to have frustrated teammates – if he was churning out 8/10 performances week in, week out.
But Guendouzi has hardly been a starter for Arsenal, let alone one of the club’s best. Guendouzi’s time at Arsenal was summed up with his tantrum-like attitude after a penalty-shootout defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup.
Following Arsenal’s exit, Guendouzi stormed off the pitch despite fan videos showing Kieran Tierney urging him to applaud the travelling supporters. Arteta would be right to get rid of the £7million (Mirror) signing.
