Italian outlet CalcioMercato has claimed that FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Mohammed Kudus wants to join Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool – amid reported interest from the Reds’ Merseyside rivals Everton, and Newcastle United.

Kudus, 19, has thrown himself onto the shortlists of many European clubs after shining in the top tier of Norwegian football. Having been converted from a midfielder to a striker, Kudus has scored nine goals in 21 league games.

France Football have claimed that Newcastle and Everton want Kudus, who has even been called up to the Ghana squad following his excellent form. Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport claim he could be available for £4.5million.

Now, the latest report from CalcioMercato states that while Sampdoria are locked in talks over a move for Kudus – the player himself wants to join Premier League champions Liverpool, with Klopp’s side said to be interested.

It comes after Nordsjaelland coach and ex-Ghana ace Laryea Kingston told Goal that Kudus should pick Liverpool: ” I think Liverpool will help him a lot more than he will get at the other two clubs [Everton and Newcastle].”

TBR’s view – Which club is the best fit for Kudus?

Goal report that Tottenham, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and other clubs are also keeping tabs on the African ace, but a move to Liverpool is the most glamorous – and probably his best bet.

Marseille, under Andre Villas-Boas, have shown plenty of faith in youth as they climbed to second and reached qualification for the Champions League. A move to the French club would really help Kudus.

But playing alongside Liverpool’s superstars, Kudus would have plenty of chances of game time given Liverpool’s hectic schedule. Anfield or Marseille should be Kudus’ pick of the bunch.
