Report: Mesut Ozil could yet leave Arsenal, DC United latest club to be linked
DC United from the MLS are the latest club to be linked with a move for Arsenal outcast, Mesut Ozil, according to a report from the Sun.
The report claims that the American side have registered an interest in taking Ozil off the Gunners’ hands and bringing him over the Atlantic.

However, as the report states, Ozil’s £350k-a-week wages could represent a problem for the American outfit. Likewise, it is also claimed that clubs in Portugal, Asia, and South America may also fancy a move for the German with their transfer windows still open.
Ozil has been left out of both the Premier League and Europa League squads by Mikel Arteta. The Gunners boss claimed this week it was a pure footballing decision, while Ozil took to social media to voice his displeasure.

But Arsenal may well still have chance to shift the 32-year-old on. Although the report states DC would likely have to wait until January before even considering piecing together a deal for the former Madrid ace.
Ozil should just leave, for his own sake – TBR View
It’s become something of an embarrassment this entire thing for both Arsenal and Ozil. This is a world-class player who is now being made to either just train or play with the under-23s if he wants a game.
He should look to get himself out of his contract and go and play football. He’s too good to just be sat around doing little.
A move to the MLS would be a cushty number for him. While other continents might also appeal. Regardless of his decision, Ozil is definitely not going to be short of suitors.
