Memphis Depay is not currently interested in joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer after Antonio Conte’s men made a call about signing the Dutchman, according to a report from Sport.
Depay is facing an uncertain future at Barcelona. He had a mixed first campaign with the club, finishing as their top goalscorer. However, he had to battle to keep his place in Xavi’s plans.

And it seems that he may find himself on the fringes of the squad this coming season. Ousmane Dembele is ready to stay at Camp Nou. And he may be joined by Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski by the end of the window.
Depay is out of contract next summer. And with that, reports this week claimed that Barcelona want to sell the 28-year-old this year if he is not going to play much.

And it was suggested that Tottenham was an option for Depay. Spurs have already landed Clement Lenglet from the Catalan giants. And it seemed that they are keen for the forward to make the same move.
Sport reports that Tottenham are ready to sign Depay permanently. And Barcelona will sell for just £16.9 million. However, the former Manchester United man is not currently keen on a move to North London.
Depay stance on Tottenham striker may come back to haunt striker
Some Tottenham fans may not mind Depay not wanting to join. Spurs finished the last campaign with a front three in sensational form. And they have since added Richarlison to the ranks.
So Depay’s reservations may be understandable. But it is an exciting time to join Tottenham, particularly as they prepare to return to the Champions League.
It will be interesting to see if his stance changes. Barcelona may soon have Raphinha and Lewandowski in the ranks. And his prospects of game-time may suffer considerably.
