Mauricio Pochettino has spoken to Dele Alli in recent days, with Foot Mercato reporting that the new Paris Saint-Germain boss wants the Tottenham Hotspur star this month.
Dele’s future with Spurs continues to look incredibly uncertain. The 24-year-old has only made a handful of appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side in the Premier League this season.
Foot Mercato notes that PSG made several bids for the England international in the summer. And they are, once again, interested in this month’s window.
The Ligue 1 giants have now appointed Pochettino as their new boss. And it is claimed by the French outlet that in the days before his arrival was confirmed, Pochettino contacted Dele.
Foot Mercato adds that the midfielder would not say no if offered the chance to move to Parc des Princes. So it will be intriguing to see how the situation develops.
It should be noted that reports recently cast doubt on Dele – who earns £100,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – getting the chance to leave Spurs.
The London Evening Standard claimed this week that Tottenham were growing increasingly reluctant to let Dele go.
It will be interesting to see whether their stance changes over the coming weeks. Based on this latest report, it does appear that Dele will have at least one opportunity on the table if he is given the green light to leave.
