Marseille have become the latest side interested in taking William Saliba on loan from Arsenal this summer, according to a report from Foot Mercato.
Perhaps surprisingly, Saliba is still awaiting the chance to make his Gunners debut. The 19-year-old looked extremely bright in pre-season. However, he is yet to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side in a competitive game.

And now it appears that another loan move could potentially be on the cards.
Foot Mercato reports that Rennes had registered an interest before they pursued a move for Daniele Rugani. And they are not the only Ligue 1 side interested.

The report also claims that Andre Villas-Boas wants the centre-back. It is noted that Marseille are preparing for the potential departure of West Ham United target Duje Caleta-Car.
TBR View: Arsenal must consider Saliba loan after surprise start
Arsenal have a large group of centre-back options currently. So it would arguably make a lot of sense to consider loaning out Saliba – who earns £40,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – for this season.
It is arguably telling that he is yet to feature even when Arteta has made changes for the Carabao Cup. He has been on the bench a couple of times.
Arteta may feel that his time will come this season. And thus, a loan exit would obviously be unlikely.
But if the Arsenal boss feels that he would be better off playing regularly at this stage of his career, he must surely consider the offers that come in before the deadline passes.
