According to reports in Sweden, Leeds United have scouted Ostersunds FK winger Hosam Aiesh in action. Fotboll Direkt reports that Marcelo Bielsa was present in Sweden on a scouting mission for Aiesh.
Bielsa travelled with a Leeds scout to watch Aiesh in action. But Leeds now face competition from another two English clubs in this race.
Championship duo Nottingham Forest and Reading could also offer Aiesh a route to the English second tier. But Leeds are clearly interested too.
The once-capped Sweden international is highly rated by Ostersunds. And they face a battle to hold onto him with English interest mounting.
In seven games this season, Aiesh has scored once and provided two assists. This takes his total tally to 14 goals and 23 assists for OFK.
The 24-year-old predominantly operates on the wing but he is also comfortable as a striker. This appeals to Leeds, who are aiming to bolster their attack.
With Jack Clarke likely to attract interest this summer and Jack Harrison heading back to Man City, Leeds need reinforcements on the wing.
Nottingham Forest and Reading will also be keen to take Aiesh, though. Reading reportedly see him as a replacement for Mo Barrow. And Aiesh will cost less than £2m.
