West Ham United could be signing a ‘potentially world class’ player in Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer.
The report suggests that Kehrer is ‘extremely quick’ with his passing range also talked up as a major strength.
West Ham need a centre-back quickly, with David Moyes’ side facing an injury crisis in the middle of defence.

Craig Dawson, Angelo Ogbonna and Nayef Aguerd were all unavailable for West Ham’s 2-0 defeat against Manchester City.
Moyes was also unable to call on Issa Diop, with the defender pushing for a move to Fulham, that appears to be advancing.
Full-back Ben Johnson was asked to fill in alongside Kurt Zouma on Sunday, and the partnership failed to contain Man City’s new star Erling Haaland as they fell to an opening day loss.
West Ham could sign Kehrer
It’s no surprise that West Ham are looking to add another defender to their ranks given the selection headache Moyes is currently facing.
Kehrer appears to be a brilliant option, with the German international down the pecking order at PSG.
The 25-year-old will have one eye on the World Cup too, and sitting on the bench in Paris is unlikely to convince Hansi Flick to call him up in November.

Kehrer is also capable of playing across the back four, and when all of West Ham’s defenders return to full fitness, Kehrer would be capable of competing at either full-back to stay in the side.
However, with Aguerd already costing West Ham £30m, it will be interesting to see if the Hammers are happy to spend nearly £50m just on centre-backs this summer.
Having already splashed £35m on new striker Gianluca Scamacca as well, and with Maxwel Cornet joining on a permanent deal too, the pressure will be on Moyes to keep West Ham in the European places again this season.
