Manchester United could replace David de Gea with Tottenham Hotspur stopper Hugo Lloris if the Spaniard leaves this summer.
The Sun claim the club are mulling over what to do with the former Atletico Madrid man, with Paris Saint-Germain apparently keen.
United would rather not lose one of their best players, but are aware he is about to enter into the final year of his contract.
The Sun say United could cash in for somewhere between £60 million and £75 million, and then hand de Gea £20 million.
They would then move for Spurs ace Lloris to replace him between the sticks.
United’s reported interest in Lloris likely won’t go down too well with fans.
He’s been a brilliant servant for the club but is not on the same level as De Gea.
From a Tottenham standpoint though, squeezing a large sum out of United for Lloris – who earns £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) would be great business considering he will turn 33 later this year.
It’s probably about time for Tottenham to upgrade on the World Cup-winning Frenchman, if they are to make a better fight of the Premier League title in 2018/19.
