Italian outlet CalcioMercato have claimed that interested parties including Manchester United, Inter Milan and Real Madrid can buy Tottenham star Christian Eriksen this month for a bargain £17million.
Eriksen, 27, has entered the final six months of his Spurs contract and can be approached by non-English clubs under the Bosman ruling. It would see him leave for nothing, agreeing a pre-contract, but Spurs will look to avoid that.
Indeed, chairman Daniel Levy is known for his tight stronghold of the Tottenham coffers and he will be desperate not to let Eriksen leave for nothing. It had previously been believed that he would listen to offers of around £40million for Eriksen.
However, now it is stated that Levy will almost immediately accept any bids of around £17million – which will place Manchester United, Inter Milan, Real Madrid and perhaps even more of Europe’s heavyweights on red alert.

TBR’s view – Tottenham cannot do much more than sell Eriksen
If Spurs asked for anything over £25million for Eriksen’s services, interested parties would simply laugh it off and look to buy the Dane for nothing – given his current contract situation.
Levy has had to be smart and slap a price tag that is enticing enough on Eriksen to attract transfer fees this month – rather than asking for too much and putting clubs off. It is just the right amount for clubs to begin a small bidding war.
