A twist in the tale. Italian website Firenze Viola claim Manchester City are now looking to beat Tottenham to the signing of Dusan Vlahovic. Harry Kane continues to be linked with City, and Vlahovic is his supposed replacement. But now, it looks as if City want to cut out the middle man.
Vlahovic, 21, was sensational for Fiorentina last season. Despite his tender age, he amassed an enormous 21 goals in 37 Serie A appearances. Little surprise then that he looks as if he is on his way to the Premier League. But to which team? Tottenham have been tracking the Serbia international.
Spurs even made a double offer for Vlahovic and his teammate Nikola Milenkovic – worth £59.5million. But City have seemingly stolen a march as they look to beat Spurs and Atletico Madrid – tabling a £68million bid for Vlahovic alone. It is an offer that is likely to be accepted by La Viola.

Vlahovic to Manchester City: A potential Tottenham boost?
If Vlahovic is going to Manchester City, or the fact Pep Guardiola’s side are even interested, surely suggests that they are looking elsewhere than Kane? Therefore, is Manchester City beating Tottenham to the signing of Vlahovic, actually a massive boost for Spurs – because they get to keep Kane?
Obviously, we then have to ask if having a disgruntled player in the form of Kane is beneficial to Tottenham. Will he give his all? Or will he just be count down the days until the next transfer window? Kane is a professional, and City signing Vlahovic will be a boost to Tottenham.
