Report: Manchester City line up Giovanni Reyna alongside Haaland swoop

Manchester City are said to be keen on adding Dortmund youngster, Giovanni Reyna, as they also eye a move for his teammate, Erling Haaland.

90Min claim that City could make a mega-money move to sign both Haaland and Reyna. The pair are widely regarded as two of the top young players in world football, let alone just Europe.

Interest in Haaland is nothing new. City, along with a number of other top clubs, are keen on signing the Norwegian goal machine.

However, City’s admiring glances towards Reyna are newer news. The USA international is still only 18 but is already a regular for Dortmund, while he’s also made the leap to international football too.

A bid in the region of £100m is expected from City, per the report from 90Min. Reyna, who was born in England but holds US citizenship, has scored four times and assisted another six this term.

Dortmund are said to be braced for bids for their top players this summer. Reyna, then, could well be one of them.

TBR View: Reyna is a superb young player who could replace David Silva

In terms of young players who are already proving themselves at the very top, they don’t come much better than Gio Reyna.

Dortmund have once again unlocked a gem in the world of football. His overall play is superb, plus the ability to play in a number of positions up top gives him added creedence.

If City can’t sign Haaland, then Reyna would be a brilliant capture on his own. If they can get both, then the rest of the Premier League will be living in fear next season.
