And Griezmann is just one of the players Ronald Koeman is trying to shift off this summer. However, as per the report, the Dutch manager is keen to sell the 30-year-old attacker to a non-Spanish side.

The former Atletico and Real Sociedad star is one of Barcelona’s highest-paid players. According to reports, Griezmann is only behind Lionel Messi in terms of annual salary with the La Liga giants.

Indeed, City are looking for a striker this summer to replace Aguero.

However, whilst Griezmann stylistically suits Pep Guardiola’s style of attack, the money the Premier League champions would have to offer could break the club’s wage structure.

Whilst the Manchester giants have a seemingly infinite pool of money to splurge on players, the club owners and Guardiola would find it hard to justify spending so much on Griezmann.

The striker turned 30 this year, and is far from his best form during his Atletico days.

Griezmann would no doubt be a superstar signing for City. But given his stats since joining Barcelona and his mammoth weekly wage, the French international would be a poo financial signing for Guardiola’s side.
