According to Eurosport, Manchester City could decide to make a big-money move for Atletico Madrid striker, Joao Felix, this summer.

City are seemingly in the market for a new forward as they look to replace Sergio Aguero. A number of big names are being linked, with Erling Haaland the one that keeps cropping up.

However, Felix has now emerged as a potential target following an outstanding season with Atletico. Eurosport claims that Felix, who they describe as a ‘unique talent’ is now on the radar of City and their manager, Pep Guardiola.

Felix has hit seven goals this season for Los Rojos Blancos but it is his overall performances that have impressed more. The forward has found his feet it seems after taking time to settle following a mega-money move to Madrid.

Still just 21-years-old, Felix has been tipped for huge success in his career. Indeed, Atletico favourite Stefan Savic told Goal that he believed Felix could well be a future Ballon D’or winner.

While Aguero is going to be a massive loss for City and Guardiola, Felix is at least in the bracket of player they should be looking at as his replacement.

Along with Haaland and Mbappe, the Portuguese youngster is one of the top talents on the European circuit at the moment.

Atletico, of course, could demand a huge fee for Felix given what they paid in the first place. But City don’t have too many money worries, and could well see value in investing in the young star.
