Report: Manchester City battling Chelsea and Ancelotti for Champions League hat-trick hero
Foot Mercato claim Manchester City are battling Chelsea and Real Madrid to sign RB Leipzig midfieler Christopher Nkunku – who has nine goals in 10.
His form this season has been sensational for Leipzig. Not only has the he scored a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League.
But the Frenchman has been shining domestically, too. He has scored four goals in his last two Bundesliga outings, netting consecutive braces.
Nkunku now has nine goals in 10, as well as laying on three assists for Leipzig in that time. He is in the form of his life, and is only getting better.
His form is not going unnoticed. The report states that three of Europe’s biggest clubs are keen – in Manchester City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Man City eye Nkunku: Versatility makes him a proper talent
What makes Nkunku more than just a Champions League talent, is that he can offer top-tier quality from numerous areas on the pitch.
Nkunku has played all over the park for Leipzig. At times under Julian Nagelsmann, he was used as a wing-back. He can play midfield, too.
But he is best used as a no.10, which he is proving this season with his 12 goal involvements in 10 games. But he can play on either flank, too.
His immense ability from set-pieces is also something that would improve Manchester City. Marca say he is rated at £36.75million.
