Manchester City are reportedly one of many clubs keen on Solihull Moors striker Kyle Hudlin.
According to the Athletic, the Premier League champions have registered a ‘surprise’ interest in the 21-year-old attacker. Middlesbrough and Cardiff City are also eager on Hudlin, who scored nine goals last season.
The youngster holds an impressive record, though. Even at just 21, Hudlin is currently the tallest outfield professional player in Britain. The striker stands at an astonishing 6’9”.

City’s 1-0 loss to Tottenham over the weekend has increased the conversation around Pep Guardiola’s need for a striker.
After all, with Sergio Aguero now an FC Barcelona player, the only natural centre-forward at the club is Gabriel Jesus.
Interest in Harry Kane looks to be dying down. Moreover, the club appear to be looking at alternative players who could fill the void.
Indeed, whilst Hudlin has next to no chance of being the man to replace Aguero for next season, it is interesting that City are targeting the striker.

With the Premier League champions having an excellent young attacker in their ranks in Liam Delap, Hudlin might be a replacement for the teenage striker if he was to depart on loan this summer.
Nevertheless, having Britain’s tallest professional player would be an interesting option for Guardiola.
And City taking a plunge into the non-league market is something not many supporters would have predicted heading into this window.
