Man City could be prepared to let Sergio Aguero leave this summer, according to a report from the Sun.
The shock news comes as City prepare for the worst in terms of their ban from European football. The club have lodged an appeal and are awaiting a decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
A decision is not expected any time soon. That means Premier League teams could be left in limbo about whether they have qualified for European competition or not.
But City could already be planning for life with a ban in place. The latest report suggests the club could be willing to let Sergio Aguero leave the Etihad if they are banned from Champions League football.
It is claimed that City, although wanting to keep their squad together, could make an exception for Aguero if he expresses any sort of desire to leave.
The Argentinian star has been a revelation for the club ever since signing from Atletico Madrid. Aguero has plundered in over 180 goals for City and already has 16 Premier League goals this term.
However, now 31, Aguero could be well into his mid-30s by the time any potential ban ends. At the moment, that ban stands at two-years, meaning Aguero would be pushing 34 by the time it finishes.

The mere thought of allowing Sergio Aguero to leave is a bit of a baffling one.
For all City’s amazing talent, no player has come close to matching the quality Aguero shows in attacking areas. He is a natural finisher and seems to have that instinct that many managers will say you can’t teach.
While Gabriel Jesus is learning his craft and is a fine player in his own right, he is no Sergio Aguero.
Even into his 30s, Aguero is as lethal as ever. Obviously, if the player does want to move on then City might have to relent.
But if they can do anything to stop the Argentinian leaving the club, then they must do all in their power to do so.
