Arsenal are closing in on a deal to bring Dani Ceballos back to The Emirates this summer. However, there is one catch to the deal which might have some Arsenal fans disappointed.
As reported by The Guardian, the Spanish midfielder is set for another season on loan with Mikel Arteta’s team, after a successful end to his previous loan stint.
It has been a deal that has been rumbling on throughout the summer, with Arteta openly admitting he wants to bring Ceballos back.
However, a report from Diario Madridista has perhaps shed some light on why a deal has taken so long to iron out.

They claim that Arsenal will, once again, not have an option to buy clause included in the deal.
The report suggests that Real Madrid are yet to give up on the idea of Ceballos being a hit at the Bernabeu so are therefore not willing to give Arsenal that right.
There is also the chance Ceballos increases his value at Arsenal and Real sell him to the biggest bidder next summer when perhaps the transfer market has recovered slightly from the global health crisis.
Arsenal fans will, therefore, get the chance to see Ceballos in action again throughout next season.
However, they will not have the exclusivity to bring him in permanently in a year’s time should he thrive yet again.
