Report: Maitland-Niles expected to leave Arsenal for Premier League side
Ainsley Maitland-Niles is expected to leave Arsenal to join another Premier League side for around £8 million this summer, according to a report from The Sun.
Maitland-Niles has become something of a forgotten man at the Emirates. He had certainly had a turbulent time while in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
At one stage, he was reportedly banished from training after expressing his disappointment at failing to sign for Everton.

He fought his way back into the fold. But he ended up joining Roma on loan in January as he looked to become the latest English player to enjoy success in Italy.
Unfortunately, his time in the capital has not exactly gone to plan. He has played eight times in Serie A for Jose Mourinho’s men. But he has been an unused substitute in 10 of the last 12 league games.
He looks set to return to Arsenal this summer. But his return may only be brief. The Sun reports that the England international is expected to join another Premier League side for a fee of around £8 million.
Maitland-Niles expected to leave Arsenal
It will probably come as little surprise to Arsenal fans that Maitland-Niles is set to leave. He turns 25 in August, and he will be wary of watching his development stagnate.
He does have potential. Martin Keown has previously labelled him a ‘fantastic‘ player.
But he needs to join a club where he will play regularly. There will be sides who could offer him a chance to thrive. His versatility could make him a really good signing at £8 million.
It looks to be best for all parties for Maitland-Niles to move on over the coming months. And it seems that a move is indeed on the cards.
