Report: Lucas Torreira set to leave Arsenal for Monaco
Arsenal midfielder, Lucas Torreira, could be set for Monaco, with the Gunners hopeful that Atletico Madrid will agree to terminate his current loan.
Sky Sports reports that Monaco want to sign Torreira on their own loan deal. The French outfit will give the Uruguayan midfielder more playing time, something he has found hard to come by in Madrid.

Torreira, who earns a reported £75k-a-week, was shipped out on loan by Mikel Arteta as he set about rebuilding things in the summer. But a lack of minutes has left both Arteta and Edu concerned. Atletico, meanwhile, still want to keep the midfielder given their small squad.
But Sky’s report, coupled with a report from AS suggesting the Monaco move could be on, seems to hint that Arsenal are pressing Atletico to release Torreira.

Further, Arteta also commented in his press conference today that he has a concern over the lack of minutes Torreira is getting.
Arsenal will want Torreira to play and maintain value in the market, ahead of a potential summer sale.
TBR View: Arsenal are right to press about Torreira, Atletico are playing a game
It’s been reported previously how Atletico could be trying to drive the price down for Torreira and it does seem to be the case here.
Arsenal, then, are well within their rights to negotiate a new deal for their man. They’ll want some money back on a player who cost over £20m. Leaving him to go stale in Madrid will not help that cause whatsoever.
