It has been claimed Azerbaijani youngster Renat Dadashov will return to Wolves in January.

According to a report from Mais Futebol, the 20-year-old didn’t train with Pacos de Ferreira on Monday and the club are supposedly cutting short his season-long loan.

The club are second bottom in Liga NOS and are looking to make some alterations to their squad for the second half of the season.

Dadashov has made just eight appearances for the Portuguese outfit and has failed to score.

Dadashov joined Wolves in the summer of 2019 from Estoril, but it was quickly decided he should remain in Portugal in order for him to continue his development.

He will likely now have talks with Wolves officials about his immediate future, with another loan move likely.

TBR’s view – Another loan surely the next step

There is little chance of him coming back to work with the first-team if he has been unable to cut it for Pacos.

It didn’t really work out for him at Estádio da Mata Real, and Wolves officials must now choose his next club wisely to give him the best chance of flourishing.
