Two Championship clubs have made contact with Liverpool regarding a potential move for Pedro Chirivella, according to a report from Goal.

It appears that Chirivella’s future is up in the air at Anfield. Goal reports that he is out of contract at the end of the campaign.

The report notes that the Reds are open to discussing a new contract with the 22-year-old should he wish to stay.

But Goal suggests that he could be offered the opportunity to leave, with two Championship sides reaching out to the Premier League leaders about a potential move for the Spaniard.

TBR View – Chirivella faces tough decision

There has hardly been a better time to be at Liverpool. The Reds are Champions League winners, and well on their way to winning a league title. Nevertheless, Chirivella arguably faces a tough decision on his future.

He has only made nine first-team appearances for the Reds. And you could understand if he felt compelled to consider a move away.

He will be 23 by the time the summer gets into full swing. And despite his outstanding Merseyside derby display at the weekend, it is difficult to see him breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s side on a regular basis anytime soon.

It would be a brave move for Chirivella to leave Anfield this summer. But perhaps the bigger gamble, in some ways, would be to stay put and sign a new deal.
