According to Spanish outlet Sport, Liverpool are still in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Yep, that’s right, the French World Cup winner’s highly-anticipated move to Real Madrid isn’t a done deal as many rumours have led us to believe over the last few months.

Mbappe’s current contract at PSG will expire at the end of this season. Every football club in the world would love to sign him, but very few can and Liverpool are said to be one of those.

Liverpool’s chances of signing Mbappe looked dead, but the report claims that they’ve now improved after what happened this week.

Kylian Mbappe to Liverpool could still happen

After helping PSG beat Real Madrid in the Champions League this week, the report claims that Mbappe isn’t entirely convinced about the Galacticos’ project and he is on the verge of changing his mind.

If he decides to snub a move to Real Madrid, PSG will do everything they possibly can to extend his deal. However, if that doesn’t happen either, Liverpool will become the absolute favourites for his signature.

The report claims that Liverpool ‘attracts Mbappe a lot’. It has also been said that Jurgen Klopp is trying to convince the Frenchman with his project and has promised winning ‘several Champions Leagues’ if he agrees to move to Anfield in the summer.

Mbappe will reportedly make his decision soon but Real Madrid’s chances have taken a big hit after their loss this week, claims the report.

It really did look like Mbappe was one his way to the Bernabeu. Many fans were convinced that no other club could lure him away from the Spanish capital, but it looks like that is now a serious possibility.

If Real Madrid are no longer an option and Mbappe wants to leave Paris, Liverpool will be in the driving seat.

The Frenchman, labelled as ‘world class‘ by Didier Deschamps, would be fantastic for any team, but under Klopp, he could become the best possible version of himself.

It’s still unlikely that Liverpool will beat Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain for Mbappe’s signature, but Reds fans have dreamed big in the past and they’d know better than anyone else that dreams do come true.
