Talented Liverpool youngster Tony Gallacher joined Toronto FC on loan for the rest of the reshuffled MLS season earlier this week.
Now, it is being reported by The Canadian Press that Gallacher has an option to remain at Toronto after the loan deal.
Gallacher joined Liverpool in January 2018 after beating a host of teams to his signature.
The Scottish talent impressed at Falkirk and was linked with a host of names. According to the Daily Mail, the likes of Barcelona, Celtic, Manchester United, and Everton were among the clubs keen on the player.
Gallacher eventually joined Liverpool in a deal reported to be worth around £200,000 by the Liverpool Echo.
However, the versatile defender has never managed to progress in the manner Liverpool might have expected.
The 21-year-old has played just once for the Liverpool first-team, featuring as a much-changed Reds lost 5-0 to Aston Villa in the EFL Cup, whilst the first-team were competing in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Now it seems like the fringe player has a chance to earn himself a move elsewhere and Liverpool fans will just be slightly disappointed that the highly-touted Scotsman never quite made the grade at Melwood.
