Liverpool have yet to put a bid in for Ajax defender Perr Schuurs but any offer around the reported £27m mark is likely to be accepted, according to reports.
Voetbalprimeur claims that while no bid has yet to come their way, Ajax are open to selling Schuurs if their asking price is met by the Reds.
That asking price was reported by Corriere dello Sport this past week. The Italian outlet claiming a bid in the region of £27m was on its way from Liverpool as they look to add to their defensive ranks.
Schurrs, 21, is one of the most sought-after prospects in Dutch football and would be seen as both a short and long-term option for Jurgen Klopp, who is looking for defensive cover.
The Liverpool boss could look to make a move in January after a furious rant on the use of only three subs yesterday. With more injuries stacking up, the German could be forced into the market it seems.
Schuurs has been compared to Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt. The Dutchman completed a mega-money move to Juve from Ajax last year, with Schuurs stepping up to the plate to replace.

Liverpool simply have to add to the squad in January or they’re at serious risk of falling out of the pack when it comes to the Premier League title.
Despite VAR controversies and injuries, their defensive display against Brighton yesterday was not a good one. The Seagulls got in behind time and again and should have scored more than the one goal.
If Ajax are willing to sell Schuurs, which it seems they are, then the Reds have to move for him in January, without hesitation.
