The Wales international is ‘desperate’ for a chance at Anfield next term, but Jurgen Klopp is apparently ready to cash in on the youngster.

A host of clubs have been credited with interest in the player, including Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig from the Bundesliga, Valencia and Getafe from La Liga and Leicester, Aston Villa and Newcastle United in England.

TBR’s view

£21 million is a steep asking price and the club may have to drop that is they want to move him on.

Wilson had a brilliant season at Pride Park, but there would be an element of risk paying such a fee for someone who is still unproven in a top-flight.

But his potential is exciting, and his set-piece abilities make him a very enticing proposition.

He is unlikely to get a look in at Liverpool, and clubs will be hopeful of striking a deal with the Reds this summer.
