Liverpool are now keen to sign Mikkel Damsgaard from Sampdoria, Sport Media Set reports.
Liverpool keen
Jurgen Klopp’s side are thought to be wanting to make an addition in the forward areas this summer, although their limited budget is making things difficult.
Damsgaard would cost around £30 million, according to the latest update, which would make him a fairly expensive purchase for Liverpool.
The Reds’ task of landing the 21-year-old is also made more complicated due to rival interest.
Liverpool are not the only side interested in the Dane, with Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United and Aston Villa also also keen.

Liverpool may be the most appealing option out of those sides, as they have Champions League football on offer, but the Reds’ competitors may be able to offer him more regular first-team football.
Euro 2020 star
It is no surprise to see Damsgaard so in demand either.
The winger, who was hailed as ‘phenomenal’ by Kasper Schmeichel (One Football), was one of the stars of Euro 2020, and he even scored a brilliant free-kick against England in the semi-final.
Damsgaard ended up scoring two goals and claiming one assists, as he became Denmark’s key creative force and raised his profile hugely.
