According to reports from TeamTalk this weekend, Liverpool are looking into signing Barcelona forward, Ousmane Dembele, for nothing in the summer.
Dembele is out of contract in the summer. After signing for Barca in a near £100m deal, the French World Cup winner has struggled with injuries and poor form at the Nou Camp.

TeamTalk claim that Barcelona want to keep Dembele. However, they want him to take a reduction on his £200k-a-week wage packet, which could open the door for Liverpool and others to make their move.
The Reds will face competition from a number of other clubs if they want to land Dembele. Manchester City and Chelsea are both mentioned, while other top European sides are also keen.
Talented
Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of the winger. Despite his injury problems, there is a belief around Europe that Dembele could eventually deliver.
Indeed, the talent is there. Form Man United defender Mikael Silvestre once said Dembele reminded him of Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I saw Cristiano Ronaldo arrive at the same age at Manchester United, and Ousmane has the same characteristics, which remind me of a young Cristiano,” Silvestre is quoted as saying.
TBR’s View: Dembele idea for Liverpool…if he can stay fit
Liverpool do need someone else who can play the wide positions and play them well. Dembele, with his ability, can certainly do that.
The Reds can’t rely on Salah and Mane all the time. And in January, we’ll see how Jurgen Klopp deals with that thanks to the African Nations Cup.
Dembele is a risky signing due to his injury woes. However, if he comes on a free, it could well be worth a punt by Klopp and FSG.
