Liverpool are looking to beat Everton to the signing of Brazilian defender, Gleison Bremer, according to a report from the Liverpool Echo.
Bremer, 23, is currently with Torino over in Italy but has seen his reputation grow over the last 12 months with a number of fine performances for the Italian side.

And with Liverpool’s defensive crisis now in full flow, the Reds are said to be looking to beat the Toffees to the signing of the defender.
Bremer, who plays predominantly as a central defender, can also slot in on the right-hand side, much in the mold of the recently injured Joe Gomez.
The Torino man has been a regular this season and has made 66 career appearances thus far. Furthermore, he has a handy knack of of popping up with a goal, scoring seven in those 66 games and already getting off the mark this term.

The Reds are expected to move in January for a new defender following the loss of Gomez and Virgil van Dijk. In addition, Andy Robertson has also picked up a knock while away with Scotland this week.
A new name, but a defender is a must now – TBR View
Bremer is not one of the names most Liverpool fans will have heard much about but the Reds need to bring someone in so it’s not surprising to see him being linked.
He’s been impressive with Torino, in fairness. It’s easy to see, then, why Jurgen Klopp might have taken notice of the 23-year-old’s performances.
It’s certainly going to be interesting to see what Liverpool do and Bremer will definitely be an option it seems come January.
