According to Marca, Liverpool, along with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, are keen on signing Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid.
There is currently no room for Ceballos in Zinedine Zidane’s first team plans with the Madrid giants. However, he’s a talented prospect with huge potential, which the La Liga outfit are aware of.
Jurgen Klopp is also seemingly aware of Ceballos’ quality. The 22-year-old midfielder would be a fine addition at Anfield and would bring an extra dimension of creativity and guile to the middle of the park for the Reds.
Given the intense competition for places on Merseyside, Ceballos would struggle to make himself a regular starter in the Premier League. However, over the course of the campaign, the Spaniard could certainly have an impact.
What’s more, a loan move for Ceballos would be a smart way for Liverpool to save money this summer. The Reds have shown that they aren’t afraid to spend big recently, but that doesn’t mean they should turn their back on bargains such as this.
If Ceballos could prove his quality at Anfield then that may also catch Zidane’s attention and convince the Frenchman to make room for the midfielder in his Real Madrid squad.
