Liverpool are reportedly growing frustrated with Sadio Mane’s continued links with Real Madrid.
That is the suggestion from Defensa Central, who are claiming the Anfield club are losing patience with the Senegalese forward.
It is claimed that Liverpool are getting ‘tired’ of the rumour mill constantly churning out Mane’s name in relation to a Real Madrid switch and even suggests that the forward himself is helping to fan the flames of this persistent rumour.
Liverpool would reportedly like it if Mane were to come out and make it clear that he has no designs on leaving Anfield for Real Madrid, or any other interested party, this summer.
The report does however have good news for Liverpool fans. Whilst Mane may be keen on a move to the Spanish capital, Liverpool’s massive asking price of €100 million (£89.6m) is a fee Real would only spend on Kylian Mbappe at this time.
Liverpool are likely to consistently have to deal with the rumour of Mane to Real whilst the Senegalese attacker continues to operate at the high level he has been in recent months.
As reported by Le 10 Sport this week, Zidane is a big fan of the player and that Real Madrid could make a big move for the player in the next transfer window, hoping to take advantage of Liverpool’s own needs amid the global health crisis.
All Liverpool appear to want from Mane is some sort of public denial for the player, who is perhaps due a new contract having signed his current deal in November 2018.
If they can get that, then perhaps the Real Madrid anxiety will start to ease.
