Reported Liverpool target, David Alaba, is now a ‘priority’ signing for Spanish giants Real Madrid, according to well-respected publication, Marca.
The Austrian defender is said to be on the radar of Liverpool if they make a move in January or the summer to bring in reinforcements following their nightmare injury situation.
Alaba is thought to be seeking a move away from Bayern Munich in the near future. However, he could run into issues finding a club who can offer him the deal he wants. 90Min claiming just a few weeks back that he had priced himself out of a Barcelona move with wage demands of around £300k-a-week.
But Marca now claims that Alaba is high on the list of priorities for Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane.
Alaba is free to speak to other clubs from January and has apparently expressed interest in a move to Spain, while he’s also not ruled out a move to the Premier League either.
Reports this week, however, claimed Liverpool may not even make a move for a new defender in January. That, then, will pave the way for Alaba to hold discussions with Real.

For all his quality, the money Alaba is demanding here is massive. Reports of anything between 300 and 400k-a-week are simply not something Liverpool will entertain.
Yes, they could do with a defender but they also need to look after the club and offering the Bayern star a contract like this makes no sense.
If he’s not careful, Alaba might well end up pricing himself out of any sort of move.
