Report: Liverpool table offer to PSG sensation Kylian Mbappe; four clubs interested

According to El Desmarque, Liverpool are one of four clubs to have made an offer to Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the best players in world football and is a proven goalscorer.

During the 2019/20 campaign, he has bagged 24 goals and registered 14 assists with PSG once again romping towards the Ligue 1 title.

Mbappe helped France to World Cup glory in 2018 and he is set to be a wanted man this summer, according to the reports.

The report also claims Manchester United’s interest, although it does suggest that their interest is smaller than that from Liverpool.

PSG want to keep their talisman and it would take some eyewatering figures to prise him away from the French capital.

Mbappe earns £375,000-a-week at PSG and is likely to demand similar if not higher wages should he transfer to another club.

Then there is a transfer fee to consider. The Liverpool Echo claims that it would take in excess of £250 million to land Mbappe which, it has to be said, seems ambitious.

Liverpool have been linked with several players already ahead of the summer window. Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Jadon Sancho have already been touted with possible moved to Anfield.

The French youngster is undoubtedly one of the greatest players in the world at present.

His goalscoring record of 84 goals in 115 games for PSG is nothing short of phenomenal and it’s easy to see why the figures are so eyewatering.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would love to add Mbappe to his dominant force of a team but the likelihood seems unlikely.

PSG will want to keep hold of him and taking everything into consideration, they are right to demand big money for his services.

Reports of an offer being tabled will excite Liverpool supporters but it does seem that the chances of Mbappe joining the Reds are still slim.
