According to La Repubblica, Juventus have rejected a €100m (£86m) bid from Liverpool for Federico Chiesa.
What’s the story?
Well, if this is true, it’s quite a big bit of news.
Chiesa shone at EURO 2020, scoring two goals in seven appearances as Italy won the entire tournament.
Evidently, Jürgen Klopp was left impressed by his displays, enough to offer a sum which would smash Liverpool’s club-record transfer fee.
Currently, Virgil van Dijk’s £75m fee is the club’s biggest transfer swoop.
Aside from his EURO 2020 heroics, Chiesa still enjoyed a 2020/21 campaign good enough to merit such a sum of money.
Playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, the 23-year-old scored 15 goals and provided 11 assists.
Federico Chiesa has already agreed to join Liverpool

According to Calciomercato, the dynamic forward has already agreed to join Liverpool in the past.
Chiesa decided to move to Anfield in 2020, before Juventus swooped in and changed his mind.
Nevertheless, Liverpool should take encouragement from the fact he was keen to join.

Just one year on, it’s possible that Chiesa – who was once called a ‘young Gareth Bale‘ – still views a move to Merseyside with open eyes.
So, how much do Liverpool need to offer to sign Chiesa?
Well, La Repubblica believe Juventus deem their No.22 as non-transferable, which throws a spanner in the works for Liverpool.
Keep an eye on this transfer saga, as Klopp is clearly a fan of the Genova-born attacker.
