Liverpool reportedly sent representatives to Italy to check on Dejan Kulusevski at the weekend.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Calcio Today, Liverpool scouts were present at the game between Parma and AC Milan. It is claimed that Liverpool have their eyes on Parma winger Kulusevski, who is on loan from Atalanta.
With just three senior games for Atalanta to his name, Kulusevski joined Parma on loan for the season. The 19-year-old has been a hit with his temporary club, scoring three times and providing five assists in 14 Serie A games.
Kulusevski played the full 90 minutes against AC Milan at the weekend but was unable to prevent a 1-0 loss. Liverpool were not alone in scouting Kulusevski this weekend; Inter Milan delegates were also present.
The once-capped Sweden international is primarily a winger but he can play as a striker too. He is thriving at Parma and is considered to be one to watch for the future.
Liverpool are clearly planning for the future with this target. Kulusevski is not quite ready to break into Liverpool’s first-team but he has the potential to become a first-team player at Anfield in the future.
Given his lack of experience at senior level, it would be wise for Liverpool to scout him more extensively before making a move. But with Inter ready to sign him in January, they might have to act a bit more quickly.
