According to reports in Belgium, Simon Mignolet’s future looks bleak at Liverpool. The Reds are willing to let Mignolet leave in the summer, according to DH.
Mignolet has struggled for game time this season with Alisson Becker the clear first-choice goalkeeper option for Jurgen Klopp.
The 21-cap Belgium international has only managed two outings this season. Both of them came in the cup (one each in the EFL and FA Cup) and both ended in 2-1 defeats.
Liverpool spent big-money on Alisson in the summer but even before that, Mignolet found himself behind Loris Karius in the pecking order.
Since his move from Sunderland in 2013, the 31-year-old has racked up more than 200 Liverpool appearances. But his role is becoming increasingly reduced.

After playing just 22 times in all competitions last season and just twice this term, Mignolet is likely to leave in the summer.
DH reports that Liverpool want to let their back-up stopper leave because he is too expensive to be a deputy option.
Mignolet is currently contracted to Liverpool until summer 2021 but both parties are likely to push for his exit this summer.
It seems a mutually beneficial agreement; Mignolet can get playing time, while Liverpool can save some pennies.
