Report: Liverpool transfer-list Divock Origi, Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson
Liverpool have put the trio of Divock Origi, Marko Grujic and Harry Wilson on their transfer-list as the club look to undertake a mass clearout this summer.
According to Goal, the trio have been declared surplus to requirements as they join as many as eight different players on the transfer list.
Origi has endured a tough season at Anfield this campaign and featured in just 17 games across all competitions in what proved a frustrating term.
Meanwhile, Grujic was on-loan at Porto in Liga NOS and made 41 appearances across all competitions, even helping the Portuguese giants make it to the Quarter-final of the Champions League.
Finally, Wilson was sent out to Cardiff City, where the attacker enjoyed a stellar campaign with the Welsh side. He scored seven times and assisted a further 12 with Mick McCarthy’s side missing out on a play-off place by 10 points.
No future for Transfer-list trio: Origi, Wilson and Grujic should’ve left ages ago
It seems Chelsea’s old ploy of buying young players and retaining them purely to stop rivals from having them is rubbing off on the Merseysiders.
The likes of Grujic, Wilson and Origi haven’t had futures at Liverpool for a long while, making the lack of permanent sales of the trio rather baffling.
And whilst the Belgium international proved to be a valuable asset during the 2018/2019 run to the Champions League final, he has tailed off spectacularly during the last two seasons.
All three need to be sold this summer, especially with the latest financial result revealing the Reds could be set to lose around £120m as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
It seems money will be at a premium as Jurgen Klopp looks to rebuild a Liverpool squad that finished a mammoth 17 points off runaway champions Manchester City.
Reinforcements are necessary, however, due to the club’s current predicament, it seems as though outgoings will need to help raise funds. That being said the trio of Origi, Grujic and Wilson should be the first three out of the door this summer.
