Report: Liverpool planning swoop for £222,000-a-week 'complete player', he's open to Anfield move

Liverpool are reportedly planning a move to land Paulo Dybala in the summer if he becomes a free agent.

The Reds currently boast one of the top front lines in world football.

However, there’s scope for Jurgen Klopp to bring in new attacking players at the end of the season.

DROGBA DID WORSE THAN LUKAKU

Mohamed Salah has 18 months left on his Liverpool contract, so his future is somewhat uncertain.

Meanwhile, Dybala has entered the final six months of his contract at Juventus.

According to Sky Italia – via Football Italia – Juve initially offered Dybala a new contract.

However, they reportedly rescinded that offer, as they now want the Argentine attacker to take a pay cut.

So far, though, it seems that he is unwilling to take that salary reduction.

Therefore, Dybala’s future is currently up in the air.

And with Dusan Vlahovic closing in on a switch to Juve from Fiorentina, that makes the 28-year-old’s future even more incertain.

Now, Tuttomercatoweb claim that Liverpool are ready to pounce with a proposal of their own.

The Italian outlet claims the Reds could even submit this in the next few weeks.

As his contract is running down, Liverpool could technically begin negotiations with the former Palermo man.

Meanwhile, Sportitalia – via Metro – claims Dybala is open to a potential switch to Anfield.

Inter are believed to remain the favourites for the 32m euro (£27m) attacker, however.

This would enable Dybala to reunite with former Juve director Beppe Marotta and keep playing in Serie A.

The player’s representatives are due for another round of contract talks with Juve next month.

Dybala signing would be great for Liverpool – TBR View

Out of all the top players whose contracts will soon run out, Dybala is amongst the very best out there.

In 276 appearances for Juve, the £222,000-a-week ace has registered 111 goals and 46 assists.

He has also captained the team on several occasions.

Dybala’s CV is impressive – five Scudettos, four Italian Cups and three Italian Super Cups.

“I feel he has become a complete player,” Alessandro Del Piero said in 2020.

And Massimiliano Allegri, upon returning to Juve, said: “Only Messi and Cristiano are better than Dybala. He has the quality to win the Ballon d’Or.”

If Liverpool were able to sign Dybala and keep all their current attackers, their front line would be absolutely fearsome.
