A number of young players have already impressed at the World Cup, and a report from CalcioMercato suggests Liverpool want to sign winger Nico Williams.
Not to be confused with former Reds full-back Neco Williams, the young Spaniard is a recent addition to Luis Enrique’s squad.
After making his international debut in September, Williams already has five caps and an international goal.
The Athletic Bilbao winger, who is most comfortably on the right but can play on the left, has proved to be a useful option off the bench for Enrique.
He’s yet to start an international match, but caused Germany’s defence problems on the break last night.

Williams wasn’t the only Liverpool-linked player who impressed yesterday, with Jamal Musiala having a fantastic game too.
Enrique is a big fan of Williams, and convinced the 20-year-old to play for Spain ahead of Ghana.
“I’m not doing this to stop him going with Ghana; he’s young and a very interesting player,” Enrique said.
“He’s playing more often with Athletic now, he’s progressing wonderfully. I like him enormously.”
Williams’ brother, Inaki, did earn a call-up from the Black Stars, and the two could end up playing if both teams progress.
Liverpool want to sign Williams
Williams is still finding his feet at Athletic Bilbao, but has clearly improved since the start of the season.
He’s not the most prolific forward – he didn’t score or assist in 34 league appearances last season – but that’s an area of his game that’s developing.
His three goals and three assists in La Liga this season earned him a place in Enrique’s World Cup squad.
Williams would offer Klopp an incredibly direct wide option if Liverpool were to sign him.

However, given how attacking he is, it’s hard to see how well he would link up with Trent Alexander-Arnold on the right.
He would also be very expensive, as Bilbao’s Basque-only policy would make him very difficult to replace.
Williams has plenty of potential, but would constitute a bit of a gamble for Liverpool to sign him right now.
The further Spain progress with Williams in the side, the more his price tag will continue to rise.
